  October 16, 2021 - This wine is in its prime drinking window right now. Still lots of fruit and brightness but expressive of all the grapes in the blend.

  April 8, 2021 - Rich, ripe hedonistic wine. Expressive nose of blackberry, kirsch, blueberry explodes from the glass with hints of herbs and chocolate. Full body with grippy tannins frame a smooth finish.

  May 2, 2019 - Tasted @ RELIC: dark fruit, 46% Grenache, 26% Syrah, 18% Carignan, 5% Petit Syrah, 5% Charbono. Long finish, hint of licorice present, chocolate.
  
  *This was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my most recent Napa trip, the winemaker Mike Hirby (previously of Realm) and his team are making a broad selection of small production wines, all of which are really, really excellent. Try some if if you can. The breadth of their portfolio is refreshing - awesome stuff*

It opens with inviting aromas of ripe blackberry, blueberry crumble, dark currants, tobacco, dried herbs and floral nuances. Full-bodied with ripe juicy black and blue fruits that expand through the rich, velvety finish.
