Community Tasting Notes 5

December 19, 2020 - The wine is good, but not great. After one hour, it felt apart. Drink up. Older vintages like 1999, 2000 or 2002 are drinking much, much better now.

November 30, 2017 - Premoxed. Sad end for what started life as an incredible wine.

February 9, 2011 - Little more acidic than expected but that was the only drawback. Very bright with seamless fruit and minerality.

April 13, 2008 - The 3/12 note nails this one -- this is as pure a Meursault as I can ever remember tasting, almost Chablisienne in its overt flint-and-chalk minerality and bright lemon fruit. The flavors are generous but the mouthfeel is tensile. Beautifully constructed.

March 12, 2008 - 13%, pale straw color. Faint nose of citrus and grass. Wonderfully balanced palate of flint, lemon and melon. A slight oak near the end. Just enough to bring out the character of the chardonnay. More flint/rock on the finish. Much enjoyed by all.
