November 5, 2023 - Medium ruby hue. Notes of cherry, earthy, licorice, plum, and tar. Aging well, with rounded tannins and high acidity. 65% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.

September 1, 2023 - We drank last 5 botles of the 2016 case over summertime. Took some years for this wine to balance but well worth the wait. I have another case 0f 2018 La Massa but patience is the name of the game.

March 10, 2023 - Last bottle. Under cork. Deep, plummy red. Powerful, mature nose of stewed plum, leather, compost, bumbleberry, charcoal and more. Good complexity. Medium bodied, dry, tangy tart fruit extract, good acidity and plush alcohol. Lots of dark juicy fruit, slightly dried out and savoury but still tasty, herbal, leather and an inky finish. A bit tart on the medium long finish. Not sure this will improve with more time. Drink up.
