April 28, 2024 - I really liked the 2013 Roagna Barolo (am I starting to like Italian wine now?!). Typically Nebbiolo, some sandy tannins (but elegant!), cherry, earth, strawberry, some leather and cedar. Nice!

July 12, 2022 - A barolo of my taste! Dried flowers, wild strawberry and raspberry, tar, leather, black tea. Good timing to open now, with a mix of fresh fruit and some tertiary aromas.

May 21, 2022 - Lys rød farge. Intens duft, av moreller, blomster, lakris og jord (og et lite sting av alkohol). Mild, sammensatt smak, med preg av bjørnebær og modne mørke plommer. Smooth, delikat syre, med elegant lang ettersmak.

November 2, 2018 - Nebbiolo fra Pira. 25-30 år gamle vinstokker. 60 dager skallkontakt. 4 år på store fat.
Frisk og noe intens på duft med røde bær, appelsinskall, stramme roser, lær, mineraler og toffee. Middels til middels + fyldig vin som brer seg fint ut. Relativt frisk bærfølelse med rene røde bær, lakris, jordsmonn og med en lett herbal tone. God Nebbiolo som idag ikke oppleves for kompleks. Gi den litt tid i kjelleren. -

June 12, 2018 - Barrel and Bottle Tasting with Luca Roagna (Roagna Winery): Barolo Terlo 2013 - (Barrel Sample) The nose showed intense mineral and animal tones up front, giving way to notions of strawberry and sweet cherry. It was soft and silky on the palate, showing pure red berries in a juicy expression, with lively acidity, inner florals and hints of leather. It finished fresh with hints of leather, cedar, sweet herbs and balanced fine tannin. There is a long life ahead for this wine. (94-96 points)
