June 5, 2022 - Øje: klar, dyb bordeauxrød med brun kant, stilken kan anes, men mere tæt i væsken
Næse: sherrynoter, oxyderet, mørk, modne skinker
Mund: let tannin, medium syre, prikker ikke i kinderne, udtørrer let forrest på tungen, tanninerne føles lettere, væsken føles tyndere, mørke overmodne noter, let sherry, hint af røde bær

    Smagt 2006 og 1979 sammen

    Drukket til grillet okseculotte

September 10, 2020 - Vin qui tend vers l orangé. S ouvre tranquillement, graphite , bois. En bouche,il y a une forte acidité. Avec le fromage, cela lui donne une belle rondeur. Ses meilleurs années sont passées.

September 15, 2013 - Fully resolved, soft tannins, some dark fruit remaining, short/med finish, cork was solid. The wine is on the decline, although still enjoyable. What were you doing in the fall of 1979 when this vintage was harvested?

May 22, 2013 - Beautiful colour, almost orange at the rim, great nose, prunes, cherries, herbs, smoke. Smooth palate, round, a bit of fruit (cherries) left, still noticeable tannins and grip. Should still have a couple of years of life left.

February 23, 2013 - This bottle was in great shape. Cork was extremely tight & no seepage. Color was crimson with a bit of bricking. Upon opening it was tight / tannic. After about 10-15 minutes the tannins moderated and on the palate we got mild red fruit, excellent balance of acid and tannins. Not a big nose. This is as good as I've ever experienced in a late 1970's wine. Well bought at a Zachys auction last year.
