February 4, 2024 - Prior bottle was a year ago and this wine continues to show quite well. Apple and peach on the nose, along with apricot and pineapple, all with an undercurrent of lemon. Medium bodied with a very similar fruit profile to my prior bottle: white apple, white peach apricot and pineapple. Mid-body has opened up quite well with both additional expression and additional complexity. Acidity and tart, white orchard fruits along with just a touch of tangerine and lemon provide good structure and contrast to work with the fruit. Overall, continues the trend from my last bottle of overall positive evolution and should show well over the next several years.

February 5, 2023 - Prior bottle was 17 months ago and the wine has taken a clear, positive step forward in that time. Apple and peach on the nose, with apricot hints in the background along with just a touch of lemon. Nose has improved markedly since my prior bottle. Close to medium bodied with white apple upfront, moving to white peach and apricot through the middle. Tart white apple and good acidity behind. Clearly, I opened my first bottle much too early. The wine feels much more complete and harmonious now. The acidity and fruit are working really well together now so that the acidity amplifies the fruit, rather than concealing it. I expect this positive evolution should continue and I'll plan to open my next bottle in Q1 2024.

November 30, 2022 - Transparent straw color. White flowers and hint of petrol on the nose. Medium-light body with medium-plus acid. Sweet rich fruit on the palate: pears, pineapple, apple cider. Balanced by good savory elements throughout. Very sweet, but delicious.

November 3, 2022 - Lovely apple and quince notes, lightly sweet with solid acidity providing backing

August 28, 2021 - Lots of lemon notes along with white apple and some background white apricot notes. Nose is actually in a very odd stage right now; lots of gunpowder and petrol notes at first and even when those blow off, still feels very closed and concealed. Nearly medium bodied (8.5% ABV) with white apple upfront, broadening to white apricot and white peach through the middle. Tart white apple along with light acidity and mineral qualities and citrus notes on the back and through the finish. This wine still feels quite young to me. It doesn't have the acidity level I expected, but it's still quite closed and only after being open and warming for almost two hours did I get a beginning hint of the true fruit profile. I'll try some of the other 2017 soon and see if this is consistent across the vintage, or simply a statement on this particular vineyard in this vintage. Next bottle for me might be as late as Q1 2023. (30 cases produced)
