August 11, 2021 - Delicious stuff. Still a bit too young for me. I should have waited a couple more yrs. Zippy, electric acidity. Ample minerality. Fresh and elegant. Hint of RS. Superb QPR.

November 5, 2020 - Very, very young. Drinking window is off for this one. Should drink well for a decade. Previous notes on the nose and palate are on the mark. Searing acidity. Superb nose. A bit closed and reticent on the palate still - should improve and open up with bottle age. Great QPR.

August 10, 2020 - These short suggested drinking windows for Barrel X are nuts, this stuff has plenty of staying power. That said, my 17s are all gone. Searing acidity, some complexity starting to peek through. Some of the best qpr in the world.

December 2, 2019 - Unscrewed and poured. Stone fruit aroma with mild petrol. Intense mango and kumquat flavors dissolve into a citrus and mineral finish. Clean, intense, interesting, firm acids. Solid example of a perennial favorite.

  • Rezy13 Likes this wine:

September 28, 2019 - Zippy, exotic floral component, green apple and lime mint gelatin, the nose suggests some acid but the palate screams with it, so youthful and searing, tried this before on day 2 and it was so much more caressing, a pop of sweet fruit then steely and fairly short and very dry back end don't give this wine justice; could smell this for days but the palate needed some aeration to follow suit.
