April 20, 2024 - 3rd bottle from a 6 pack, last enjoyed this wine about 2 yrs ago.
Tiny bubbles, with a nose of lemon curd, a hint of vanilla, donut glaze, and chalky salinity.
Energetic and lifted on the palate, with intense citrus and orchard fruits, crushed nuts, wet gravel, with firm focus good length on the lovely flavors.
This SC from MH is just rocking, love the tension and energy, and the clean and long lasting finish. Drink through 2028+. -

January 22, 2023 - En magnum. This was excellent. Way, way better than expected. Just perfect balance between white fruit, florals, and toast. In the upper echelon of champagnes I’ve had in a while. Magnum effect, or just a really good wine?

June 26, 2022 - Sunday hangout (Chicago, IL): A pretty textbook edition of this wine; the fruit seems a little white and on the tart side, but also shows lots of the requisite chalkiness. The palate drinks a little lean, but again finishes with plenty of chalky texture. A very good value play, especially as the house still doesn't seem to get its due.

Notes of green apple, kiwi, brioche, showing salinity, minerality, tension, bite, elegance, breed.
