August 21, 2023 - Last tasted some 4 years ago, and it is now opening up but is still improving. A dark colour, and a fragrant, perfumed nose; the palate is rich and dense, with dark fruit flavours and a dryish finish. Perhaps try again in a couple of years.

January 3, 2023 - Fine but lacks somewhat personality. Still very little evolution.

November 12, 2022 - Beautiful fresh autumn berries, soft tannins, and a mulchy woody quality to it. I didn't decant which I think was the right option for while it tasted immensely youthful and delicious at first, it did begin to change rapidly in the glass tasting more and more mature. First couple of sips, everyone was amazed that it was nearly 20 years old, but after 20 minutes or so it was so different. Gorgeous perfectly mature wine though I don't think there's any hurry to drink it.

June 6, 2021 - Another bottle of this courtesy of my father.
Fabulously rich nose: autumn fruit - very fresh - with tobacco, cinnamon, cloves and truffle. The longer it's open, the more the truffle note comes out.
Super smooth on the palate, just glorious to swill this one around the mouth, full body but tannins fully resolved and that fruit still fresh as a daisy. Long finish.
This is how you hope mature Burgundy is going to taste. Just glorious. So glad he still has a few bottles of this left in storage.

May 2, 2021 - Strongly recommend a 2hr decant at this point. Wonderful nose. Asian spice, tea...mid palate for 1st hr relatively dumb...Kept improving over with time and inevitably was lgbg (last glass best glass).
