December 30, 2023 - LD Farewell Gathering (Upper West Side): Bombastic wine - a truly hedonistic bottle. Although I personally enjoyed this wine, others felt that it lacked restraint and elegance. Reduction gave way to very ripe fruits. Richness also likely due to solar vintage.

November 22, 2023 - So much tension and precision, with bright acidity and nice weight. Excellent wine with such great energy.

October 14, 2023 - Similar to HPRPHFs note, below, I thought this was especially opulent. Not lacking in concentration or aromas, it was rather blousy and wanted for just a little more acidity. Peach and nectarine, some orange zest and less reduced than I anticipated. It’s drinking well but has a few more years until peak.

December 3, 2022 - Sesame, opulent ripe white fruit, quite fat. Certainly the most perfumed of the Meursault flight today. People love it more than me; the vintage fruit is a bit too overt and less elegant for my taste; much preferred the 2016 drank two months ago. 93

March 31, 2022 - Dinner at 312 Fish Market (Chicago, IL): Now this is a wine with the proper usage of reduction ("noble reduction," I'm told). It's not sulphurous at all, and has aromaticity, as opposed to the more common outright stink. Quite ripe, as expected for the vintage, but the reduction gives this wine bonus complexity to go with the fruit. Excellent freshness and acidity to boot, this is another in a long line of outstanding 2015 white Burgundies -- it's such a phenomenal vintage.
