March 31, 2015 - Madeira Masterclass (WSET School, Bermondsey): Appearance: The wine is Clear with a Medium amber colour.
Nose: The nose is Clean and Fully Developed, showing Medium(+) intensity aromas of orange peel, medicinal – a bit chemical, toffee, caramel, fig.
Palate: The wine is Medium Sweet in the mouth with a High level of acidity. It has a High Level of alcohol (19.00%) for a fortified wine. It has Medium(+) body and Medium(+) intensity flavours of orange peel, medicinal – a bit chemical, caramel, toffee, fig. The finish is Long. It has refreshing acidity.
Overall: Good length, intensity and complexity. Good balance between acidity and sweetness.
Conclusion: It is a Very Good quality wine. Drink Now; not suitable for Ageing or Further Ageing The wine will not improve with ageing - it is fully developed. Can be kept for many more years.; Premium priced (£27.00)
