August 17, 2023 - Drinking very nicely now, the new oak is well-integrated with the dark cherry fruits. A full-bodied, quite "modern" wine for sure, but balanced and versatile at the table. At this stage, drinks like Bordeaux meets Southern Rhone meets Ribera del Duero. Might improve with another year, but I think this is at peak.

April 19, 2022 - This wine is drinking nicely. Deep ruby in color, with powerful aromas of dried blackberries and raspberries, leather, savory herbs, vanilla bean and coconut. On the palate, tart dark plum makes an appearance with strong vegetal notes. Tannins are grippy at first, but become more chalky and smooth as it opens up. Medium acidity, medium+ complexity, long finish.
