February 23, 2024 - I wasn't so happy upon release as it was a bit too coiled, but now it's finally come into the zone. For a Federspiel in this vintage, I'm pretty impressed, but then I usually am at this address. Just got my latest offer from Flatiron the current release (2022) of this wine is now $37 vs the $30 I paid several years ago. In this post-pandemic scheme of things, that's not bad at all. Easily recommended based on this showing. Now and the next several years.

December 19, 2021 - To appreciate this wine, embrace the acidity and the length of the finish.Limes. Great with creamy sauces or tropical fishes. This wine is also longer than the day. Not fruit forward, but that is not its role. Beauty wine. Cheers! I increased score from 91 to 92 because this wine has been on my mind ever since I opened it.

April 16, 2021 - good wine, a bit austere on the palate, was hoping for a bit more liveliness; acid and citrus notes a bit too dominate for my tastes.

March 22, 2021 - I am surprised by this wine's dullness. It has light Sprite flavors -- citrus and mild minerality. Almost no power on the finish. I don't know how to reconcile my perception of this wine with professional and CT reviews. This happens from time to time.
