September 24, 2020 - Earthy, leathery nose, with some blackberries and some delicate spiced oak. The palate was quite green, and needs a little more time to mellow out for me. Having said that it was still a very tasty wine. More old world than a new world fruit bomb. Black and red fruit on the palate, some richness and depth to it and given the high alcohol it wasn't noticeable at all. There was some fresh acidity and the finish was long and fruity. A delight to be fair and in a few years when, the tannins integrate more, this will be more my style. Although I know plenty of people who would prefer this now. Available @latitudewine £37.50 a bit pricey but the quality is there and I did enjoy it so worth a look to #giveanewwineago If this was a 2014 Châteauneuf-du-Pape then you'd be paying that price anyway so try a #southafricanwine and help those guys out 89 points

July 26, 2020 - Ruby. Red fruit/ cherry on the nose. Tasted light on the palate even though the alcohol was high. Nice aftertaste.

May 11, 2019 - I was expecting this to be much bigger, brighter and more robust than it was. Never-the-less this was interesting, enjoyable and worth exploring, albeit sub-optimal per my BBQ wine-food pairings. Others might disagree and find this most suitable.

The winemaker notes on this label calls it ‘wild’ and brambly, ‘bohemian’ in style, this was dark grayish ruby colored, medium-full bodied, concentrated with tones of cinnamon spice, nutmeg, cigar and leather, the fruits almost taking on a layer of bourbon whisky accented by the cigar smoke notes, with tangy bright acidity on moderate tannins on the finish.
