December 21, 2022 - {screwcap, 14.5%} Big cabernet with a currant and dark chocolate aspect to it. Powerful fruit, subtle medium dusty tannins, discreet oak, good even palate. Still very youthful and primary. Will be better in five years. Not a lot of mint or eucalypt, and feels much tighter and more intense than, say, Wynns black label, which is its most obvious local competitor at this price.

Blue and blackberry over blackcurrant, sweet spice, slight alcohol prickle, cream, controlled polished oak, a little pyrazine. Medium plus acidity is over adjusted, black fruits, drying chalky tannins, a little yeast extract. Long. Hmm. -
