Aromatics medium +. Butterscotch, wet nuts, bruised apricots/pear, and saffron. No new oak
Palate has a medium + body. Acid medium +. No phenolics until late. Alcohol medium. Nuts, bruised golden apple and apple core/seed late
Finish has a medium + length. Balanced
Dry glass notes of sweet nut
Drinks well now, but could still age

    April 17, 2024 - Double blind tasting
    Dark gold color
Medium plus aromas - moderate beautiful oxidative aromas nuts/honey with bruised apple and pear
Medium plus bodied with palate of fresh/ bruised tree fruit and nuts with slight bitterness at the back of the palate
Medium plus/ high acidity and medium alcohol with mild phenolic bitterness
    Medium finish
I went with old Savennieres here due to the rather linear palate and acidity
This really drank more like a Savagnin then a Chardonnay dominated blend
Drinking great now but will hold
    Bottle said 13.5% alcohol

February 10, 2024 - From 75cl, perfect cork, opened but not decanteed 30 minutes. This was the bottling with 14% alc. (LO3) and it exactly corresponded to my CT TN of 08.07.2023. Good, yeasty character as expected, but heavy, sullen, lacking the brilliant citrus confit vivacity I remember from the 13,5% alc. bottling. Looking through other TNs here, I wish ludwigbpm (15.01.2021) had recorded which bottling he tasted (but I suspect it was this one). 90P

July 8, 2023 - From 75cl with 14% alc declaration (LO3), good cork, decanted one hour. Fine yeasty, lemony sv Savignin-dominated wine (I know, there's more Chardonnay in the blend, but this is what it tastes like). It pushes all the buttons, but the mid-palate is sullen, heavy, lacking the vivacity, complexity and structure I remember from two previous outstanding experiences with the 13,5% alc bottling of the 2015 vintage, both recorded on CT below. Lucky me, I have one more of each bottling in the cellar, and look forward to some further empirical research into both. 90P
