Community Tasting Notes 3

May 11, 2021 - Decanted into a Voss-btl for ~3+ hrs prior to serving. Reductive showing on the 1st sniff, with notes of fruits coming to the fore with more air/time in the glass. Impressive palate that had fruits and minerality in spades. Most thought this was old-world, Puligny... Another impressive showing!

    March 23, 2021 - "Red/White Burgs vs. New-world Pinots & Chards" theme'd session.

Similarly decanted for ~3-hrs prior to serving. Blinded (in a pair) alongside the '10 Fevre Preuses. Impressive from the get-go. Coche-like reduction, claimed a friend. Tasted young obviously, and guesses zoomed quite immediately to the '17 vintage. A good half of us thought this was a Burg! The reduction did blow off a bit, to reveal notes of nectarines, bits of white-flowers. Oak (vanilla notes) was pretty much discernable (again, not protruding). Apples & chalk on the palate, this was fresh (w/ good lift & cut), intense/powerful with a long finish. Wow! I can see why a number of us thought this was a good Burg!

October 2, 2019 - Rich, buttery, elegant, feminin with a firm, citrus-dominated acidity -all natural, Gago says.
