June 27, 2022 - PnP. Very primary but opens with air. This has solid class. Deep purple fruits with layers of spice and soil. This is dense and dark, barely yielding hints at its full potential. Absolutely drinkable, but absolutely too young.

December 5, 2021 - In a merchant line up. Very primary with pretty red fruit, discrete earthy aromas after some coaxing. I struggle with tasting notes that say this is already drinkable. Yes it is from a structural point of view, but there is not much aroma beyond simple red fruit. For that experience, you can buy a 30$ NZ Pinot. Why waste your money on a Burgundy 1er Cru? Having had this wine with more age, I know what it can do. This nie 2017 will be no different. Drinking 88-90 today, but will be 93-94 once mature, that is after 2030.

August 17, 2021 - Crunchy red fruit potpourri, clear-cut acidity and long aftertaste.
Intoxicating nose to die for; red fruits galore, slight hint of sexy oak and some stone/earthy minerals - textbook Chambolle!
Don't see the point in cellaring this for the long haul, it's just too damn delicious right now

January 22, 2020 - Chambolle 1er at its best. Already open.
