Community Tasting Notes 9

September 23, 2020 - Not much change since May. Maybe a little bit more savory notes, but this remains a beautifully balanced, sappy, floral and fruit driven wine that punches well above its weight. Lovely Vosne like spice. Drinks like a quality village wine. A terrific value.

July 9, 2020 - Wine doth have medicinal qualities! The last couple bottles of wine I had I couldn't smell very well, began to wonder if it was a symptom of COVID. Nope, this wine tells me the old smeller's just fine. Very impressive Burgundy at this price--or even triple the price I paid ($23). Nice to look at and smells of autumn leaves, black cherries, and some touch of funk I can't place that makes the nose very eclectic and even exotic. Lovely in the mouth as well, great grip, especially at the back end, and nice hint of sweetness at the front. Juicy and giving. The finish is a tad short, but I could care less given the other charms of this beauty. This punches way, way above its weight class. Glad I bought more than one. 5-13-17-8: 93/100.

May 17, 2020 - A spice, red fruited and floral nose. Sappy for a Bourgogne, with excellent balance and palate presence. Cherry fruit, florals, mulch, cool basil/ minty notes and Vosne spice on the palate. Quite long on the back end with floral, spice and more mulch earth notes. There is outstanding depth for its designation. Quite long and punching well above its weight. Outstanding in and of itself and a stunning value to boot.

May 15, 2020 - Opened last night. Relatively light hue, but pretty. Pretty strawberry nose. Lovely palate. Nice soil, light black cherry fruit. Good balance. Drinking much better than it’s modest pedigree. 4-12-16-8: 90/100.

February 11, 2020 - Detailed, elegant, and delicious with a well judged touch of richness. This delicate beauty is full of spice and life... I could drink this forever.
