January 31, 2020 - Cuvée from 95% Blaufränkisch and 5% St. Laurent. The grapes come from old vines that are up to 80 years old. The traditional maceration and subsequent maceration takes 50 days in barriques. The wine then matures in small oak barrels for 40 months!
Dark ruby garnet, opaque core, fine noble wood spice in the nose, vanilla, herbs, dark berry fruit, blackberry jam and tobacco nuances. A beautiful sweetness in the nose! Multi-layered and powerful on the palate, extract-sweet dark fruit texture, perfectly integrated tannins, Cassis in the aftertaste, remains for a long time. This is an absolut stunner!
Try to get the 2012 and other vintages soon again! Awesome!
