August 6, 2022 - Julian Castagna stressed that this shouldn't be drunk too cold and a label on the bottle reiterates that. The mouse seemed bigger perhaps as a result and less fine.
It felt more like drinking a red wine with fizz rather than a sparkling red wine, if that makes sense. Full bodied and lots of deep, intense black fruits. Nicely balanced and enjoyable, but for a sparkling shiraz, I'd probably go with the Seppelt Show Reserve, the Rockford Black or Primo's Joseph.
