Community Tasting Notes 6

November 6, 2022 - Wine was a little off-balanced for this premier cru. Ripe red fruits did not have enough tannin and structure to support it. Not worth the money.

July 9, 2022 - In a very nice place. Red berries and cherries, some earth and iron. Nice balance and proportion and s silky texture. The finish is long with lingering spice.

August 29, 2020 - Decent burgundy at this young age, but for the money, not worth it. This was tasted side by side with the 2016 Kistler Russian River Piniot at a dinner, and everybody preferred the cheaper Kistler. The acidity is very high, but the minerality and earthiness is minimal. This reminds me more of a Oregon pinot than an old world Burgundy. I would not spend this much money (around $80 USD/bottle) for this wine. Maybe $40-50 at the very most, but even that is pushing it.

September 24, 2019 - Faiveley tasting at the domaine. Candied fruit, cherry, minerals and spice. Delicate and fruit forward.

July 3, 2019 - Tasting at Domaine Faiveley (Nuits Saint George): Most intense nose in the line up so far. Lifted red fruits with floral and spice notes. Palate is so well constructed -- smooth, spice-filled black cherry with velevty tannin. Spice is really intense here and the length is very good. 90-92
