December 10, 2022 - Slightly more extracted style is apparent but the wine is fresh and bright with dark cherry fruit and a silky-fine texture. Finishes fairly clenched with a beautiful spice note late. In a pretty good place now with a long decant and quite drinkable but not yet into its secondaries. 93+

October 29, 2022 - Burgundy GC BYO (Rasmus): Pure and beautiful dark berry fruit flavor with a medium structure. Quite intense on the palate with a sweet fruit core.

January 31, 2022 - Slowly bt breathed, deep ruby, fresh cherry and blueberry aroma, earth and hint of spice. Slightly grippy, good acidity feminine, more fruits from mid palate, obviously still young. More posed finish and shall age well, no rush to pop the cork anytime soon.

December 24, 2021 - Decanted for 6 hours. Stunning wine. Very open. Warm red fruits with a lovely touch of barnyard. Smooth, long finish. Excellent pure class.

April 26, 2020 - Decanted 4 hours. Opened up further over the following 2 hours. Needs to sleep in the cellar a few more years.

Lithe and athletic - it’s like a coiled spring - I don’t know how the energy was contained in the glass. I normally shy away from Bonnes-Mares, but this one stole the show. Beg, borrow or steal to drink this - I will!
