March 4, 2024 - Very basic Brunello. Probably needed more time to open up. Sour cherry, leather, quite acidic. Needed more time to open or more time in bottle perhaps.

March 5, 2023 - Opened 4 hrs before serving with grilled beef and truffles. Paired nicely with these rich flavors. Quite dry with good balance of acidity and soft tannins, red and dark fruit. Not sure how much more it will improve with further aging.

January 26, 2020 - Solid Brunello with nose of black cherries, leather and earth. On the palate it expresses sour cherry and tuscan dirt with hints of licorice at the finish. Tannins are well integrated and the finish is long. Wonderful pair with steak (night #1) and risotto (night #2).

January 28, 2019 - Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello in NYC. Unattractive to me this had an "off" flavor and very bitter finish and very closed nose. Seems somewhat too common for the 2014's from Brunello.
