July 11, 2021 - Gorgeous dark fruit, leather, touch of tar classic nose. Mouth-filling, still some grip but supple. Goes on for ages. Getting ready for Italy v England.

June 30, 2019 - Decanted and poured immediately. Took about 15 min to open in the glass. Tar, violet, rose petals, red licorice, and blackberry on the nose. Palette is well balanced with tannins that are still a touch firm. Overall good but slightly uninteresting.

April 6, 2019 - Easy to drink but a bit of a nondescript Barolo with red fruit and rose petals. It is definitely on the elegant side though some tasters noted tannins remained. I certainly how the real Gaja Barolo and Barbarescos I have from 2001 are way better!

November 27, 2018 - Lovely, explosive nose on opening, fruity and floral - cherries and roses mostly. Brick red edges with black cherry center on PnP. Nose died off quickly. Rich, tarry on palate with bit of floral, savory, minerality and some fruit. No tertiaries noticed. Some tannins left. Drinking nicely.

February 13, 2015 - This was very good Barolo. Having said that I wish I would have held this another five years still drinking quite young. Can be enjoyed now with very long decant.
