December 4, 2019 - Light-medium color. Nose is earth, spice, and sprightly cherries. Immediately after pouring, there is an oak quality that quickly subsides. Taste is initially impenetrable and needs time to breathe. After an hour, it is still tight but slowly revealing young cherries, good rich middle and a long finish. Good concentration. This tastes like a really young Vosne-Romanee village wine, not a Bourgogne Passetoutgrain. While drinking well now, I think it needs 3 years to integrate and then should drink well for a few years after that. After a week under a Coravin, the wine is really super and better integrated.
