  May 2, 2013 - Very ripe black cherry aromas and flavors with some overt cherry cola character. Intense fruit start-to-finish with some oak spice standing apart as well.

  November 20, 2011 - The fruit, cherries that used to entice with this wine is gone, there is nothing to lift past the rather harsh leather and dried leaves that remain, not terribly good with food either. It has flattened, unfortunately, and the good times are gone

  June 17, 2010 - Deep garnet. smokey bacon nose with black cherry and cherry compote notes. Earth and allspice are alluring in the wine with dried leaves. The attack is fresh with cherries and building acidity with a close of blood orange or bergamot. Very attractive wine right now.

  September 27, 2009 - The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Rich & Dana's): Deep garnet color with notes of nutmeg, dark cherry, white pepper and cola. Medium to full-bodied, with flavors of ripe black cherry, savory herbs, and cherry cola. Has the qualities of a big Syrah-like Pinot. No doubt as to what this one was. Quite tasty though.
