February 14, 2024 - My second time tasting this wine, and only slightly better than the first. I decanted and strained, and then I let it sit for three hours. The wine is savory, perhaps a bit too savory for my taste. Time may only improve this wine a bit.

December 25, 2022 - Had with Family on Christmas.
N mixed raspberry, red raspberry licorice, tobacco, roses
P strawberry, red raspberry licorice, white pepper, tobacco, rose water, tar
F Above average, good mouthfeel, still high tannin,
Overall a fantastic bottle of vino for the price, but still could use a couple of years in the cellar to fully show.

September 18, 2022 - Decanted from magnum and paired with marinara meatballs nice acidity for the food but people enjoyed the wine between courses without food. This is wound tight and really needed over an hour to show. Fruit was dark and not accessible for the first 20-30 but unfolded and ripened to red showing the nebiolo beautifully. Needs more time for secondary notes to develop.

October 13, 2021 - A real disappointment from the outstanding 2015 vintage. The 2015 Le Brunate is an earthy Barolo that is by no means anything classic. The wine was decanted two hours prior to dinner and displayed nothing to brag about. The color and nose are dull, and the finish is unimpressive. I have two more bottles, but I don't expect them to improve. Lotsa luck.

October 16, 2020 - A peek into 2015 Barolo (Osteria Langhe, Chicago IL): Nose: The nose is perfumed, heady, and red fruited with strawberries, raspberries, red cherries, crushed rocks, rose petals, morning dew, tar, and wild flowers. There is excellent depth while showing off a lovely, expressive side.
Taste: The feel is Medium bodied with tart, high acidity and silky, high tannins. The structure is clearly youthful, but it doesn't feel overpowering at the moment. The feel is plush and balanced with strawberries, raspberries, red cherries, crushed rocks, rose petals, and wild flowers.
Overall: This is drinking beautifully already and can certainly develop more over the next 8+ years. This may be in a fairly open place for a long while and it will likely provide a lot of joy each time.1 person found this helpful Comment
