April 17, 2024 - Soave & Brunello (Anima e Cuore): Sweet fruit, herbal spice, dry tobacco, meaty and pulpy. This has an aromatic and flavour profile lots of people round the table really enjoyed, but it didn't quite resonate with me. Cherry and blackcurrant, sweet and slightly one-dimensional for me on the palate. Tannins are smooth and it's not fully tertiary yet but on its way - a couple of years and it may have come through its current identity crisis.

January 27, 2020 - Tasted at Benvenuto Brunello NYC. This wine tasted much more modern and oak influenced than the 2015 Normale. Fairly dark, not quite opaque garnet. Flavors are dark, rich and jammy versions of cherry, chocolate and raisin. I much prefered the more traditional 2015 Normale.
