November 28, 2023 - Big ripe juice on the nose, some flint but mostly raspberry and violet. Med acid, lots more juicy fruit, surprisingly grippy gravelly tannins for a 6yo Rouge. Nice savory bitterness on the finish. Pretty delicious!

October 28, 2022 - Tasted several times, once via coravin then 2 weeks later over 2 days. This was delightful each time though I do think IR was best in the last drops. Very well balanced with good acidity, minerality and controlled fruit. Nice long finish. While more expensive than the average Bourgogne Rouge it is worth it, both for its structure and its elegance.

July 17, 2021 - Really hitting its stride now - this is a really grown-up "vin de soif". Drink now and in the next year for delectable strawberry and redcurrant flavours, but with some depth, and that underlying freshness and savoury edge you rarely find outside France.

December 12, 2020 - Wanted to taste a bottle before giving away at least half of the case I bought for gifts. Lusciously delicious entry level Bourgogne. Translucent medium ruby crimson color. Light to medium bodied, yet very viscous. 13% ABV. Nose leaps out of the glass with violets, roses, hints of creamy vanilla, crushed raspberries and almost ripe bing cherry. Medium acidity. Palate is fresh and red fruited but shows some distinctly ripe strawberries in contrast to the nose. Finish is moderately long and pleasant with a hint of slate. Very refined yet easily drinkable. Maybe even better in another few years.

October 4, 2020 - Slightly reductive on the nose (still), but this soon blows off - will decant next time. But the fruit, the fruit ... this is so pure! For "basic" Bourgogne this is quite beautiful.
