Community Tasting Notes 5

February 18, 2024 - Very floral with black raspberry notes and touch of smoke Similar in style to their Pinots when first opened, but earth and pepper comes out with time. More bluebeery on taste and tobacco. Peppercorn notes. Did not pick out as a Syrah as highly floral and slight sweetness. Regardless a nice wine with pork roast.

September 25, 2020 - Initial nose of tires or pencil eraser, giving way to muted blueberry in the mouth and oregano or other herbs on the back end. It's a really balanced cool-weather Syrah with a clean medium-length finish. My overall impression is "rounded and agreeable." Might be a little lacking in intensity and complexity, but it's not a bad value at about $60.

May 16, 2020 - Dark purple, cranberry rim, opaque
dirt on the nose and blueberry.
on the palate, Pepper , violet, blueberry, and boysenberry?
medium plus acidity and was still slightly tannic.
    Mouthfeel was light and fresh.
finish was relatively short but every sip finished with a quick fast hit of sweetness. almost like a sugared fruit..

February 3, 2020 - Medium plus nose shows black pepper, iron, blackberry, violets. Palate is a touch fresher but still leaning towards a Rhone style, pretty style but serious as well. Structure backs it up. Still fairly primary, time will help.

September 21, 2019 - A bit young still but really enjoyed it. I’m not very familiar with Sonoma Syrah so can’t offer detailed commentary but wonderful nose and body.
