August 8, 2023 - Unlike last year's bottle, this didn't really open up at all, even after 3 days open. Hmmmmm. Still have 2 bottles left. See ya next year.

September 14, 2022 - I had high hopes based on previous bottles but this was so high in acid that it was difficult to enjoy. Perhaps some bottle variation, as I didn’t get the typical Maresh wow here.

September 4, 2022 - As per other notes, there's something interesting going on here... at pop I thought I had a flawed bottle on my hands. Limited fruit and vinegar on the finish. Day 2 was a completely different wine: bruised pear up front, nice salinity on the core, and it had switched over to a lower acidity finish. Not really sure what to make of this, have 3 more bottles and will likely treat like a very reductive (though its not one) chard and open a day or two before I plan on drinking.

January 26, 2022 - similar to others. tart, med-high acid. citrus but not a ton of fruit. went well with spicy Chinese food. solid QPR

December 12, 2021 - Originally wrote: Flawed. Heavy VA. Tasted like apple cider vinegar upon PNP.

After 1 day in the decanter, it was quite improved with only hints of the apple cider vinegar.

After 2 days in the decanter, The reduction is gone. Vinegar taste is gone and tasted like good chardonnay.

This is not typical of my experience with this producer. It was enjoyable after 2 day decant. Maybe it was some interaction with the reduction that made it taste of VA when there wasn't. weird bottle.
