February 28, 2011 - Perhaps a bit past prime, but with some rustic and redeeming qualities. Required
over two hours to mesh, opening with cherry, anise and sage notes with mouth
coating tannins. A savory, woodsy profile with a noticable evergreen edge. Not
nearly as fresh and charasmatic as the 02 bottle recently consumed. The second
evening the rough tannis softened, leaving a less than desirable structure and a
wine out of balance. A touch of blackcherry, and mint with some oak on a short,
    uninspired finish. Drink now
