    January 14, 2024 - Dark purple colored.

Fruit forward with mainly dark fruit/blueberry and some strawberry and chocolate. A little too jammy for my taste. Still can use some time for tannin to incorporate.

May 11, 2022 - Drank this as I am trying to clear the Cali ‘17s out of my cellar and was pleasantly surprised. This is a big wine but in balance and tasted more like Syrah than previous Venge Syrah I have tasted (which were more cab like). Big dark fruit, easy to drink, hint of pepper. Not sorry I opened it, but no rush if you have one.

March 21, 2022 - A tad heavy handed for my tastes. This wine is viscous and big flavors/ABV as most Venge's tend to be. Fruit forward with a bit too much oak for my tastes. Nonetheless it is ripe and smooth with a long albeit jammy finish. Not sure how this really improves with age as I think it kinda "is what it is"

November 13, 2021 - Delicious 2017 Syrah from Venge. Matched with Paso Robles Syrah (delightful as well). This Venge
Syrah of dark ruby in the glass with aromas and flavors of dark berries (black, rasp) and nice balance of tannins and acidity.

May 7, 2021 - Probably still too early to drink this one. Held up well with tri-tip and it's both very big and bold.
