  April 28, 2022 - Unfortunately, Cavedog is no more! Michael Havens is moving to Spain and will set up a winery there. California was unkind to his latest efforts and essentially closed him down. What a loss! His reds were some of the e best out there.

  February 19, 2022 - Served chilled, bright nose with honeysuckle and minerals on the nose; crisp citrus and apricot notes on the palate, nice finish. Choose this Albarino to pair with pappardelle with marinated artichoke hearts and lemon caper cod.

  December 4, 2021 - This bottle was likely the best Cave Dog Albarino I've had. It had great intensity and stone fruit flavor, overall balanced with firm acidity. Well made and simply delicious.

  June 3, 2020 - Best bottle of this yet. Really citrusy and white stone fruit driven flavors with good acidity and a creamy mouthfeel. Paired perfectly with lemon chicken.

  April 19, 2020 - Badly corked unfortunately. That's 2 bottles out of 6 over the last two vintages where there has been some sort of flaw so hopefully just bad luck on my part.
