Community Tasting Notes 5

December 25, 2015 - This bottle performed exceptionally well for a CA 13 year old Pinot. Ton of fruit remains and balanced w excellent secondary flavors, acidity and structure. Enjoyed the weight, length and balance to the wine.

May 21, 2015 - Very pleasantly surprised with this as a kind replacement bottle from the winery. Fruit was still nice and round with some tertiary favors coming through. Quite impressed with how this aged. I would have been hard pressed to say this was 13 years.

November 3, 2009 - Full dark cherry flavors but still a little bitter on the mid palate. Very pleasant long finish.

October 4, 2008 - better after 2 hour decant; a bit of smoke and bacon like a syrah; much fruit, soft tannins around the mouth; c/w 2001 girardin volnay les champans, nowhere near the depth of flavor or bouquet.

March 7, 2008 - Unremarkable. Full tart cherry flavors but a little bitter - gets better on a long finish. Try again in 2009.
