  June 6, 2017 - Also known as "The Darkie". Screwcap. Like most of the other Barossa Shirazes tasted tonight, this has a nose of blackcurrant and oak, but this one has a sinister edge to it: a waft of tobacco smoke. The palate is tight and concentrated: the alcohol (15.7%) is strong, but restrained. Flavours of Ribena, anise, and rhubarb, plus a strong background note of dark chocolate.

  August 18, 2010 - Very satisfying old style shiraz with charcoal, meat, blackberry and spicy high acid finish. Well balanced, still quite youthful.
