Community Tasting Notes 4

May 2, 2022 - Thank goodness I have one more of these, and thankfully I put it in a part of the storage that it takes a ladder to access!! Of course, that's probably not going to stop me from drinking this way too young. What a powerful, robust, full-bodied diamond mountain wine. I always get a lot of dirty, brambly candied black cherry notes in Diamond Mountain wine, this one being absolutely no exception to that! Palate is stone ground black cherry preserves with almost a medicinal character.
Eucalyptus, thyme and rosemary. Tons of youthful exuberant character. Finishes with young but slightly toasted cedar tannin. Black pepper character but more on the "cool mint" side. A monster! This is a rich, dense, full bodied offering that has amazing upside potential for extended bottle aging. Drink now or hold 10-15 years!

July 4, 2020 - This bottle was absolutely wonderful. Rich fruity taste perfectly balanced with earthy tones. Enjoyed it with a steak and after two hours decant.

July 2, 2019 - Tasted with Isaac at the fabulous estate. This is serious TRB work from great land in Calistoga. Full body, deep purple, pure cassis, with sweet but not drying tannin. Reminds me of some Schrader wines from the mid-2000’s.
