September 10, 2018 - Nice ruby color, the nose is white pepper. Some cherry flavors with a bit of spice. Decent acidity and medium finish. Although this was supposed to be drunk before 2015, I forgot about it and it was in my wine fridge and still very good despite its age.

January 26, 2014 - A little prickly upon opening but it smoothed out. Deep color and good freshness and no obvious wood once it got air. A little grapey and New World in character despite the more modest alcohol. Actually not unlike a Santa Lucia Highlands fruit profile, which isn't my favorite but I enjoyed the Girardin more. Modest minerality, but good value overall and easy to enjoy.

April 18, 2013 - Opened and allowed wine to breathe about 30 minutes in the glass. With a good ruby color, the nose has a very strong mushroom and forest floor base with a hint of green pepper. On the palate there is a cherry compote with a background of allspice and white pepper. Pretty lively acidity. A brief finish. Paired with a pan-fried parmesan crusted steelhead. Drink up by 2015.

January 12, 2013 - Deep and intense color, not really what I expected from PN.
The nose was fine but not that nuanced.
This wine really shines thanks to the feeling of power combined with freshness. The acidity was incredible lively, almost sparkling...?! Outstanding!

June 11, 2011 - Popped and poured. Seemed to have a bit of mint aroma. Taste was red cherry and a bit of grenness, but then it just seemed to completely die and have very little flavor at all after the first glass or so. Got this at a decent price under $20, but still wouldn't go back for more.
