Community Tasting Notes 7

June 6, 2021 - This was deep colour and rich looking but was incredibly tight v expectations via Burghound, needs a lot longer and would probably rate higher then.

December 12, 2020 - Everyone else’ tasting notes on this are pretty lame. People really expect that opening a grand cru red with less than 20 years on it is going to provide some interstellar experience especially in ‘05? It’s obvious to me and everyone else drinking this here that at 15 years of age this is still so so young but plenty of stuffing and intensity and real terroir going on in here. Actually still quite enjoyable even if not at all easy to peg anything as revealed. Recommend if you have this to just forget about it for a while. This will remain special for many years to come.

September 29, 2020 - Same linearity as before but in this bottle the fruit was a bit more present and therefore a better experience than previously. But still could never have guessed the vintage as an '05.

July 23, 2020 - Although good linearity, for me an imbalance of acidity vs. fruit here that added up to a leanness that this wine just couldn't shake. Don't really think there is enough material here for this to get better, at least for me. A not altogether pleasant surprise given what would be expected with the vintage.

April 4, 2020 - Very closed upon opening lean and resistant to show itself. initial impression was dubious as to it's Grand Cru status. After an hour and a half the wine began to sing. The flavor profile opened up, forest floor with a solid mid pallet structure made this a delightful experience. An excellent wine with a grilled fillet.
