  October 30, 2022 - Naso ruvido, dominato da sentori terrosi e di cantina umida. Il frutto è nel back-ground, difficilmente apprezzabile e identificabile, pregio principale la persistenza. Al palato la ruvidità diventa estrema e aggressiva, il tannino è prevaricante nonostante i sette anni di invecchiamento in bottiglia, la persistenza diventa un boomerang e l'attacco, così come la fine, non conoscono la benchè minima e umana concessione a un po' di eleganza e morbidezza.
  Questo vino mi pare la dimostrazione che molti dei pregiudizi in gran parte ingiusti che danneggiano i vini bio provengono da alcune vinificazioni estremiste "a prescindere" come queste. Sicuramente il suo essere così sbilanciato e deliberatamente non amichevole lo renderà gradito ad alcuni.

The wine is a light ruby with the core not true to the rim( it shows the 7 years bottle aging ), the wine is trslucent. The viscosity is medium low ( 12.5% abv) quite low for a usually full body red wine. The nose is delicate with notes of red berries and cherries, rubhurb and tertiary notes of licorice, there are also notes of spices. The palate is delicate and elegant with a wine that is not a fulll body, with a medium low velvety tannins and medium high acidity. The persistence is low. In summary a good average wine it’s a biological wine and May be it was aged passed it’s pick. It can be paired with any meat dish but also with white meat and fish in heavy sauce.   May 22, 2020 - This is a red wine from Sicily. It’s made from the Nero D’Avola grape, it’s produced by Cantina Marilina. We visited this winery in March 2019 in Noto. The wine is a medium ruby color with the core not true to the rim. The wine has aged at the time of tasting for 5 years. It is 12.5% abv. This is a low alcohol level for this type of wine. Nevertheless the nose is inviting with notes of black fruits and tertiary notes of spices ( black pepper ) and tobacco. The palate doesn’t fully confirm the nose, a little disappointing after the inviting nose. Medium body, a harsh tannins and a medium acidity but with a low persistence. The wine disappears quickly ... it’s a good pairing with any meat dish, we tasted it with a filet mignon with green pepper sauce and grilled eggplants. PM: 86

  November 12, 2019 - Smells natural - a bit of soilage funk. In concrete. Almost has like brunello quality and I guess I could smell that. Tough on the back end.
