September 19, 2021 - Very dark core, glowing magenta rim. Looks young - and it is!. Nose was a little closed on day one, but has opened up on day two. Pear , blackberry, mushroom, and forest floor nose. This was pretty heavy on day one, but much more integrated on day two and is less heavy and more balanced. Very good acidity. The tannins are so fine that it appears to be lacking structure... but there is plenty of that. Medium length finish. I wish it was longer, but it fades and I feel like it's holding back. All in all - it's a solid Quinta da Leda, but I much prefer the 2015 and the fabulous 2017. Time in the cellar is needed. I'd say 3 -7 years.

February 25, 2021 - Vibrant medium-dark purple - Port-like. Not much nose, maybe a touch of spicy plum compote. On the palate it's rich, grippy and with a nice balance of sweetness and acidity. I remember being bowled over by this 18 months ago, and remember it as being wildly aromatic and quite a heady experience overall. It's not that now. Hmm... The last bottle of this I had, a month ago, was faulty, with a bad case of secondary fermentation; this bottle too had a distinct fizz for the first 30 seconds or so after opening. 13.5%, cork.

July 31, 2020 - Visual: vinho tinto tranquilo, vermelho rubi intenso, límpido, brilhoso, abundância de lágrimas.
Olfativo: frias vermelhas maduras, cerejas, framboesa, noutras florais, baunilha, chocolate, tabaco.
Gustativo: frutas vermelhas, baunilha, bom corpo, tanino ainda um pouco agressivo, acidez bem presente, equilibrando o álcool.
    Boa persistência.
