January 7, 2022 - The nose is black fruit for me, a little peppery. I always love this wine but I want to say I like it a little younger. it still has nice balance of acidity and tannins. I taste black fruit with a little of stewed fruit taste though I'm losing that as it opens up. I also taste pencil shavings and vanilla. Drinking it by itself but always great with food.
