October 3, 2022 - It's funny that this wine is a simple Chianti Classico, not even a Riserva, because it really has extreme density of material. Too dense upon opening, I left most of the bottle for the next evening and it was much more integrated. Probably just needs 3 years to hit its stride, but will last a good deal longer.

February 26, 2022 - A very nice, structured, somewhat serious Chianti. A good beam of cherry fruit is supported by a balanced structure of tannin and acid. Pleasant now with a decant, this can clearly improve with time. My first time with this wine and producer, this did not disappoint. As I've said over and over, 2016s are just. so. good.
