December 30, 2023 - A massive wine. Unctuous silky fruit with gentle herbal undertones. Jeff Leve's review is spot-on in discerning the many flavors in this multi-layered monster. A tad heavy on the oak notes initially, that blended in well after 2 days under vacuvin and refrigeration. With another decade or so of aging, this will likely be less pronounced.

March 9, 2021 - This is a rich, lusciously textured, full-bodied, velvet laced wine that is impossible not to be enthralled by. Inky dark in color, you find flowers, crushed stones, ripe, juicy, fresh, sweet, blackberries, plums, cherries and assorted pit fruits. The intensity in the fruit, levels of depth and concentration, coupled with its gorgeous purity, essences of licorice, espresso, smoke and tobacco leaf with a touch of mint is there from start to finish. This is going to be a cellar treasure that will age and evolve for 2-3 decades with ease. The wine blends 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. Only 1,600 cases were produced.

March 9, 2020 - Deep, red violet rim surrounds a black inner core. Ripe cherry-berry compote nose, A lot of dark fruits here. You name them, it's here. Very silky despite being full and sexy. Spicy and ripe, revealing much complexity, a lot of dimension at this early stage. Quiet the experience. The textures are exquisite. A lot of body, yet light on its feet. Great freshness too. This wine is made for the long haul. Take no prisoners. Epic. It's going to provide different experiences along the way. Would be nice to follow over the decades to come. Harvest dates: Sept 20th-October 5th 2018.
A tentative blend of 70-75% merlot, 25-30% cabernet franc. 70% new oak barrel. This is certified organic, bravo!
Certainly on the level of the 2009 and the great 2010. Parker rated the 2009 a perfect 100 points, and this could be better!

April 19, 2019 - Inky in color, the wine is incredibly dense on the palate. The crushed rock and stone essence of the terroir comes through loud and clear. The wine is floral, finesse in style, long with a serious depth of flavor. The blackberry, boysenberry, plum and red pit fruit build and expand in the finish. 2018 saw an increase in production and close to 1,600 cases are going to be released. The wine was made from 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc reaching 14.2% alcohol. 98-100 Pts
