April 25, 2024 - 'Left-field' whites (TWS North London) (Must and Lees, Liverpool Road): A joy to experience a Balkan/Greek grape from very difficult/unusual terroir in Portugal - the Sintra area outside Lisbon is not known as a wine-producing area, and according to DS who brought this, there was a long viticultural process to coax the roots deep enough.
Nose: sour cream, yellow apple (yes, specifically yellow), some green pear
Palate: Lean and drying, appley with good freshness and a gentle nutty finish, it doesn't drip with fruit but it's got plenty of life. -

March 27, 2021 - Pale straw colour, nose of peach and apricot and fresh herbaceous notes. The palate has lovely stone fruits, a hint of honey and citrus notes too, there’s a pronounced salty tang and a hint of oxidisation. A wine that tastes of its place Interesting wine which I enjoyed but won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.
