March 22, 2020 - This was like a combo of a Sancerre & Chablis. Has a nice mouth-watering acidity, with lemon oil, flint, and and citrus on the palate. The short time resting on lees added a barely perceptible heft and lushness. Killer QPR. WS nailed their rating! QPR of the year (so far!)

October 27, 2019 - Light golden yellow in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of apples, lemons/limes & pears with overtones of minerals & stones, minerals, honey & a slight hint of vanilla in the background. Medium-light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of apples, lemons/limes & pears with honey, minerals & a slight hint of vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present but should develop further with additional aging.

September 29, 2019 - A trip to South Africa's Coastal Region with Reni, Rainer and Bert. Day 2, West Coast. Dinner at Villa Pescatori in Yzerfontein, hosted by lovely Angelique Basson (the food was delicious!). Good fruit; apple, some pear, some citrus, with good, lively acidity and average to good length of the pleasantly bitter finish. Balanced, lively and fresh, with average concentration. Six months on the lees added some complexity. Competently made, not trying to be anything. Solid. Good value. Drink now.

June 22, 2019 - Taste Wines from Australia, S. Africa, & New Zealand (+2 shared bottles) (San Diego Wine Co.): WAY too cold

    N: Earth, forest floor/mushrooms

P: Med, poss MF, body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish, applish frt beautifully counterbalanced by an acidity which subtly directs the action into & through the LONG finish with an OCCASIONAL *hint* of very, VERY slight bitterness (likely a +) & an alluring tangy/swtness. For now & into, probably through, '22, + I can see the potential for improvement through '19. Artfully done! 13% ABV; My EXC-/EXC, certainly the higher IF one considers the QPR of this vendor's $13.99, which is as good as anyone on wine-searcher. 92 pts WS, 91 WE with an "Editors’ Choice" @ $19, & a Gold + "one of the top 10 Chards in the world @ Burgundy's Chardonnay du Monde Competition 3/6–8/19"!

Note: I'm *guessing* this is unoaked, though the '18's Tasting Notes have not been published as of this date. [Notes for the '16 don't address the issue, though the '17 notes state, "An unwooded wine."

June 15, 2019 - Very good QPR. Lots of apples up front, line or lemon zest. Fresh, crisp, clean finish, un-oaked, delicious.
