June 9, 2019 - Similar showing to my last bottle. A really pretty Rosé de Saignée that is more mineral- than fruit-driven and is an excellent representation of the house style here. Love it.

Getting even better on day 2 and especially 3 with explosive aromatics of red currant, chalk, orange zest and peppery notes. Superb tension and precision. (94+)

April 21, 2018 - This is from 2014 base vintage, I don't know the disgorgement date. Shiny salmon color. Small and fine bubbles. Takes some time and air to open up in the glass, first pretty tight and full of tension. Then opening up with notes of raspberries, cranberries, mint, some chalky notes, some orange zest, also some white pepper and spices. Overall more tension than fruit-driven. Medium+ bodied, with good mid-palate persistence, high acidity and few bubbles, leaves a vinous impression. Good length with a lot of tension and a touch of bitterness. An excellent Rosé de Saignée from this great producer. It feels young at the moment and improves with more air, but I am never sure about the ageability of Rosé Champagnes... I will drink mine over the next 2-3 years from a large glass (Riedel Veritas New World Pinot Noir).

February 11, 2018 - Disgorged 4/2017, vintage 2014. Retasted after 3 months. The wine is definitely more focused and tighter. Great energy, full palate, sorbet-like fresh nose. Rasberry, strawberry, pears, apples, changing, mineral, airy. This is an amazing vintage champagne rosé from certified biodynamic producer, from old vineyards. Rosé that can age.

January 23, 2018 - From three plots. After disgorgement held for 6 months. Which soon you will see on the cork. A touch of Pinot Gris. Only 5% because they feel it really complements the Pinot Noir. This all souls planted before the chalk, meaning not on the chalk.

A very fine mousse and fillingree to this. Maybe four to six hours of maceration - no method - just. A choice they make when tasting. 95% Pinot and macerated all together. 3 g / L of dosage. So very pretty and fine on the palate. Very soft and easy. In a really good way. Not simple just darn easy to drink.

Vertus did make Pinot Noir historically but bignhouses pay more for chardonnay so now more of that.

November 5, 2017 - Not indicated on the label because of shorter then compulsory time of bottle aging for vintage champagne, this is in fact a single vintage rosé from 2014. Disgorged April 2017. Age of vines is 40 to 60 years. Dosage 3gr. The wine seems to be still too young, not evolved fully. Very clean and impeccably balanced, elegant. Expressive notes of frozen red and white fruits, full mouthfeel, broad, very fresh, light yet rich. Sensual and very attractive. A potential masterpiece when gaining some age.
