December 30, 2023 - Decanted for 1.5 hours. Dark fruit, leather, tobacco, crushed stone. The wine did open up in the glass but this needs a lot of time as suggested by the tannins; grippy, powdery and powerful. Have 5 bottles left, won’t open another until 2028.

February 12, 2023 - Decanted 5 hours, very complex on the nose given lots of dark red fruits, violet, earthy, leather, mushroom, tobacco leaf, hints of benzine and green spices. This wine is built for a long haul, full of intensity, energy and masculinity. The grippy tannins telling me it needs a deep sleep not to touch untill 2030.

October 16, 2022 - From glass. Went right from the nose to drinking it; must have been taken in by the high, sharp red fruit and rhubarb. Those notes too on the palate, with a lovely underbelly of roasted meaties. Lots of diffuse stringy and powdery tannin. If you like, "Tuscan Burgundy." Did like this.

October 16, 2022 - Dark ruby hue. Aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, licorice, and rubber. Medium-plus body, with medium-plus tannins and acidity. Lengthy finish. Complex and balanced. 55% Merlot and 45% Sangiovese.
