April 27, 2023 - This was good. Not as much character as I was expecting considering that it’s been another year further away from the vintage than the previous bottle I had.

This is perfectly fine rose but I preferred the basic cuvée from a more recent vintage. Doesn’t show the kind of complexity, articulation, resonance, or character of a $40 rose. Disappointing.

March 19, 2022 - Very fresh and less serious than I expected for a special cuvee (which is not a criticism). Very lifted nose of fresh strawberries, roses and orange peel. Slightly oxidative style and a bit of sweetness on the finish, another winner for rose as a pairing for food.

January 1, 2022 - CLos Cibonne is one of our favorite Provençal producers; the regular rose (Cuvée Tradition) is a wine we routinely buy, and when we can find the special cuvées, we snap them up. The Cuvée Speciale des Vignettes is a marked step up from the regular bottling; it is cleaner (and the regular is already well-defined, light, precise, and harmonious!), with more tensile strength and precision, and incredible balance. This is a food wine… orange peel, a hint of salinity, and a touch of spice. This could sleep even longer.
